Aberdare Country Club
The Aberdare Country Club is situated in a 1300 acre wildlife sanctuary on the slopes of the Kamatongu Hill in Mweiga. It overlooks the Solio Game Sanctuary (home to black and white rhino) to the north, the Aberdare Mountains to the West and Mount Kenya to the East. The Sanctuary abounds with zebra, giraffe, impala, warthog, duikers and the elusive leopard. You can also find many species of East African birds here.
Being only 3 hours drive from Nairobi, it makes for an ideal day out - whether you choose to play golf amidst the zebras, warthogs and impalas, go on a game drive in the Aberdare National Park, or simply indulge in a relaxing massage at the Spa.
Other options available include horseriding in the Sanctuary, a game walk through the Sanctuary, or for the more athletically inclined, a game of tennis.
Lunch can be taken inside the restaurant, or out on the garden terrace, surrounded by beautiful plants and birds.
