These terms and conditions apply to all trips organized by Wild Destinations Limited, of P.O.Box 44159, 00100 Nairobi, Kenya
Your contract incorporates these terms & conditions and by making a booking with us, you confirm your acceptance of these terms & conditions to the exclusion of any terms & conditions you may seek to apply to the contract.

BOOKING & PAYMENT

A binding contract between us will only come into existence once we have received your full payment. Once this is received by us, we will send you an email confirmation. It will be your responsibility to check the details on the confirmation email and notify us immediately if the information contained therein is incorrect. If we do not receive your immediate notification, we may not be in a position to make any changes and any extra charges incurred will be your responsibility.

CHANGES & CANCELLATIONS

Please note, no changes will be permitted within 36 hours prior to tour departure. Cancellations made within 36 hours will be treated as no shows, and consequently are non refundable. Cancellations made more than 36 hours prior to departure are fully refundable.

DELAYS & NO SHOWS

It is your responsibility to make your way to the agreed pick up point, and you will need to be there at least 15 minutes prior to departure.

If, for any reason, you are delayed and are unable to make it to the pick up point in time for your tour, it is your responsibility to call our customer service agent on telephone numbers +254 702 926985/+254 733 381471/+254 734 381471 and advise the nature of your problem. It will be upto the discretion of the customer service agent whether or not to delay the departure in order to accommodate you.

In the event that the customer service agent decides not to delay and the excursion takes off on schedule without you, you will be treated as a no show and 100% cancellation fee will apply.
If you fall ill during a tour, or suffer an injury, we may require you to discontinue the trip with no refund being given.

SPECIAL REQUESTS

For tours where lunch/dinner in included, a vegetarian option will be available at all the restaurants featured. However, the items offered for this option will be upto the discretion of the restaurant.

CONDUCT

During the tour, you will be required to adhere at all times, to the advice and instructions of our staff. You will be required to behave responsibly while on tour with us, in order to safeguard your safety & security and that of others on the trip.

You will be required to follow the Wildlife Code of Conduct given below, in order to support responsible and sustainable tourism

  • Respect the privacy of the wildlife; this is their habitat
  • Beware of the animals; they are wild and can be unpredictable
  • Do not crowd the animals, or make sudden noises or movements
  • Do not feed the animals; it upsets their diet and leads to human dependance
  • Keep quiet; noise disturbs the wildlife and may antagonize your fellow visitors
  • Stay in the vehicle at all times except at designated picnic or walking areas.
  • Ensure that your driver keeps below the maximum speed limit of 40kph/25mph in the National Park, and do not encourage him to drive offroad; this severely damages the habitat
  • Leave no litter behind you
  • Respect the cultural heritage of Kenya and never take pictures of the local people and their habitat without asking their permission
  • Respect the cultural traditions of Kenya and always dress with decorum

PUBLICITY & MARKETING

We reserve the right to take images of the trip and use the same in promotional literature and on our website. We also reserve the right to reproduce any comment from you, in such literature and on our website. If you do not agree to the use of your images for the above purposes, then we must be informed accordingly, by email, prior to the trip commencing.

COMMUNICATION

Please note, all our communication with you will be by email, and it will be your responsibility to ensure that your email system is operating correctly (this includes checking that your spam filters are not preventing receipt) and that you check your email regularly.

LIABILITY

Wild Destinations will act only as an agent for various companies represented in the tours and safaris, on the express condition that they shall not be liable for any injury, damage, loss, accident delay or irregularity arising in connection with the services of any hotel or conveyance used, or through the acts of defaults of any Company or person engaged in carrying out the arrangement of tours. Wild Destinations will accept no responsibility for losses or additional expenses incurred due to delays or changes in train, steamer, motor, air or other services, sickness, weather, strikes, civil disturbances, war or threat of war, riots, terrorist activities, fire, epidemics or health risks, technical problems with transport, closed or congested airports or ports, and similar events beyond it’s control. The Company’s liability is governed by the laws of Kenya, and all claims are subject to the jurisdiction of the Kenyan courts.

Wild Destinations reserves the right to employ sub contractors to carry out all, or part, of the services provided, and in the event of such right, the terms of such clauses above relating to the Company’s liability shall apply.

Wild Destinations will not be responsible for lost tickets or coupons or adverse weather conditions, and reserves the right to alter any routings or other arrangements, to offer substitutes, or to completely cancel the whole or any portion of a tour should conditions necessitate.
